Buy It or Skip It?

Sometimes a product sounds perfect on paper, but real life tells a different story.
Here’s my honest take on two haircare products after actually using them—one I’d skip next time, and one I’ll happily repurchase.
1. Ouai Shampoo – BYE
I expected this shampoo to feel lightweight and deeply cleansing, but it didn’t quite live up to that promise for me. While it’s not a bad product, my hair still starts looking greasy after just a couple of days. It cleans, but not enough to make it a standout in my routine. For the price, I want longer-lasting freshness, so this one won’t be making it back into my cart.
2. K18 Shampoo – BUY
This shampoo is a total win. Since I have well water, mineral buildup is a real issue—and this formula does an amazing job of removing that dulling residue. My highlights look brighter, and it helps keep unwanted warmth under control. It leaves my hair feeling clean without stripping, which is hard to find. Definitely a repurchase and a staple in my routine.
Not every hyped product is a hit, but when one works, it really works. Ouai didn’t quite meet my needs, while K18 completely delivered. If you’re dealing with mineral-heavy water or color-treated hair, K18 is absolutely worth trying.
