Embracing natural hair is a journey, especially with thick, wavy hair that loves to do its own thing.
Lately, I’ve been testing out new products to help tame frizz and bring out my natural texture. These are my most recent purchases and how they performed on my curls and waves!

1. Wonderbalm by Evolvh

This serum impressed me with how lightweight and nourishing it feels. It does a great job at reducing dryness, frizziness, and flyaways without leaving the hair crunchy or sticky. A small amount goes a long way, making it easy to use for both styling and post-shower care. The only downside is that it didn’t define my waves as much as I hoped. Still, it’s a solid option for smoothing and polishing the hair.

2. Tahitian Gardenia Flower & Mango Butter Shampoo and Conditioner – Not Your Mother’s

This duo was a total win. The scent alone feels like a tropical escape, and the results were even better. My waves looked more defined, frizz was noticeably reduced, and my hair felt soft and manageable. It gave me so much confidence wearing my hair naturally because everything stayed under control. For an affordable option, this set delivers amazing results.

3. Curl Talk Defining Cream – Not Your Mother’s

This cream really surprised me. After styling, my waves looked more structured, bouncy, and defined without feeling heavy. It enhances natural texture while keeping the hair soft and touchable. Frizz stayed minimal, and the overall look lasted well throughout the day. Easily one of my favourite styling products so far.
Finding the right products makes all the difference when it comes to embracing natural curls and waves. These recent purchases helped me feel more confident wearing my hair as it is, and a few of them are definite staples now. With the right routine, wavy hair can be both effortless and stunning.
