When my skin starts acting up—dry patches, redness, or just that tired, uneven feeling—I tend to go back to the basics. Not a long routine, not too many layers, just a couple of products that I know will help bring things back to normal.
Skin repair, for me, isn’t about quick results. It’s more about giving my skin time to settle and feel comfortable again.

1. COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence

At first, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this one. The texture is slightly stretchy, a bit different from typical essences, but once it’s on the skin, it feels surprisingly light. I like using it when my skin looks dull or feels a bit off balance. It adds this layer of hydration that makes my skin feel more “alive,” if that makes sense.
Not instantly perfect, but gradually better. Over a few days, I usually notice my skin looks smoother and less tired. It’s become one of those quiet staples I reach for without thinking too much.

2. La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5+

This one feels more like a safety net. Whenever my skin feels irritated or just not cooperating, I go straight to this. The texture is thicker, but not uncomfortable—it sits on the skin in a way that feels protective, like it’s helping everything calm down. I don’t use it all the time, mostly when I feel like my skin needs extra care.
It’s especially helpful when things feel sensitive or slightly damaged. I usually apply it as the last step, and by the next day, my skin feels more settled and less reactive.
In the end, skin repair isn’t something I try to rush anymore. These two products remind me that sometimes, less is enough. It’s not about instantly fixing everything—it’s about helping my skin feel okay again, little by little.
