I used to think toner was just an extra step—nice to have, but not really necessary. That changed when I started noticing how different my skin felt depending on which toner I used. Some made everything absorb better, others just felt like water with a fancy label.
Lately, I’ve been going back and forth between Avoskin YSB Toner and Skintific Pure Centella Toner, and the contrast between them is actually what makes things interesting.
.1 Avoskin YSB Toner
This one gives off a slightly more “active” impression. The texture isn’t too watery, there’s a bit of body to it, so it feels like it’s doing more than just prepping the skin. When I pat it in, my skin doesn’t just feel hydrated—it feels a little more awake, like it’s ready for the next steps. I tend to use this when my routine is more complete, with serum and moisturizer lined up afterward. It fits into that kind of structured skincare moment.
2. Skintific Pure Centella Toner
This one leans in a totally different direction. It feels calm from the start—very light, almost like it disappears the second it touches the skin. On days when my face feels a bit sensitive or just not in the mood for anything complicated, this is what I reach for. It doesn’t try to do too much, and that’s actually its strength. The centella focus gives that soothing effect that’s hard to explain but easy to notice.
What surprised me is how toner can shape the entire flow of skincare. With Avoskin, my routine feels more intentional, like I’m building something step by step. With Skintific, everything feels lighter and more relaxed, almost like I’m giving my skin a break. It’s not about which one works better in general—it’s more about what kind of day I’m having, and how much effort I want to put in.
