Eyeshadow has always been that part of makeup where I can either keep things effortless or take a few extra minutes to actually enjoy the process. Some palettes feel like they guide you step by step, while others give you more freedom to play around.
When I tried the Rare Beauty Discovery Eyeshadow Palette and a Heimish Eyeshadow Palette, I realized they sit in two slightly different moods—even if both are easy to wear.

1. Rare Beauty – Discovery Eyeshadow Palette

This palette feels very “put together” without asking for too much effort. The shades are curated in a way that already makes sense, so I don’t spend time guessing which colors go together. Most of the tones lean soft and flattering, with a mix of mattes and subtle shimmers that catch the light in a gentle way. When I use it, everything blends smoothly and quickly. It’s the kind of palette I reach for when I want my eyes to look polished but not overdone.

2. Heimish Eyeshadow Palette

Heimish palettes feel a bit more relaxed, almost like they’re made for everyday use without any pressure. The colors tend to be softer and more muted, which makes them easy to layer without worrying about harsh lines. Even if I apply quickly, the result still looks cohesive. The finish leans more natural, almost like a soft wash of color rather than a structured look.
The Rare Beauty Discovery Eyeshadow Palette and Heimish Eyeshadow Palette both make eyeshadow feel easy, just in their own way. Rare Beauty gives a more structured, refined result, while Heimish keeps things soft and relaxed. It’s less about which one performs better, and more about how you want your makeup to feel—slightly elevated, or comfortably simple without overthinking every step.
