Light serums are usually the quiet part of a routine, the layer that doesn’t try to be dramatic but still decides how comfortable your skin feels through the day.
I’ve been using two that sit in the “lightweight but purposeful” category, each doing something quite different once they settle in.

1. Beauty of Joseon Green Tea & Panthenol Serum

The Beauty of Joseon Green Tea & Panthenol Serum feels like calm in liquid form. It’s watery, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t leave any trace behind—just a slightly more balanced skin feeling. On days when my skin feels a bit reactive or easily flushed, this one tends to bring things back to a more settled state. The green tea aspect gives it a refreshing impression, while the panthenol side feels like it’s quietly reinforcing the skin barrier without making a big deal about it. It’s the kind of serum you forget you applied, but notice its absence when you skip it.

2. Some By Mi AHA BHA PHA Miracle Serum

The Some By Mi AHA BHA PHA Miracle Serum has a more active personality. Even though it still feels lightweight, there’s a sense that it’s doing more “work” on the surface. It’s the one I reach for when my skin starts feeling rough or a bit congested. Over time, it helps smooth things out and makes texture feel more even, though it’s not something I use every single day. It fits better into a planned routine rather than an automatic step.
These two serums show how “lightweight” doesn’t mean “doing less.” One focuses on calming and maintaining balance, while the other gently refines and resets the skin’s surface. Depending on what my skin is going through, I switch between comfort and correction—both simple, just in different directions.
