Hey Lykkers! I swear I don’t plan my mascara choices… I just kind of grab whatever matches how I feel that morning. Some days I want lashes that look clean and effortless, like I naturally woke up like that.

Other days I want a bit more drama—like my eyes are doing the most without me saying anything. These two have basically become my “no thinking required” rotation.

1. L’Oréal Telescopic Lift

This one feels like my “put together but still rushing” mascara. I use it when I don’t have time to fix mistakes, because it’s actually pretty forgiving if I’m being a little careless. The wand is thin, so I can go in close to the lash line without turning my eyelids into a mess.

What I notice every time: my lashes look longer, more separated, and just… neater. Not heavy, not clumpy. Just that clean lifted look that makes me look more awake than I actually am. It’s the mascara I wear when I want people to think I slept well.

2. Too Faced BTS Mascara

And then there are days when I clearly feel like doing more. This one doesn’t play subtle. First swipe already gives me that fuller, darker lash look, and suddenly my eyes feel like the main character of my face. I reach for it when I want a slightly “done” makeup look—even if I only did concealer, brows, and lip tint. It kind of carries the rest of the face for me. I do take my time with it though, because it builds fast.

I don’t really see these as competing mascaras anymore. One gives me that clean, lifted lash look when I want something simple. The other shows up when I feel like adding a bit more drama to my face. I just pick whichever version of me I’m in that day.
