Hi Lykkers! I used to think primer was just an extra step I could skip. Then I realized the right one can completely change how my makeup looks by the end of the day.
These are two primers I always enjoy using, and each one has its own reason for staying in my makeup bag.

1. Anastasia Beverly Hills – Mini Water-Resistant Eye Primer $13

Whenever I want my eyeshadow to stay exactly where I put it, this little tube never lets me down. The texture feels incredibly light, yet it creates the perfect base that makes every shade appear brighter and more vibrant. My eye makeup stays smooth for hours without settling into creases, even on long days. My only complaint? The mini size disappears way too quickly, and I'm always wishing there was more left inside.

2. Too Faced – Hangover Replenishing Face Primer $42

This is the primer I reach for whenever my skin looks tired or feels a little dry. It gives my complexion a fresh, hydrated look that helps makeup glide on much more smoothly. The tropical-inspired scent makes getting ready feel a little more fun, almost like a mini escape before the day begins. It isn't the best choice if I'm hoping for a blurred, pore-softening finish, but whenever my skin needs an extra boost of moisture, this one does exactly what I want.
Not every primer has to do everything, and that's why I like keeping different options on hand. One keeps my eye makeup looking fresh from morning to night, while the other gives my skin the healthy-looking boost it sometimes needs. Depending on how I'm feeling that day, I'll happily reach for either one without a second thought.
