Welcome Lykkers! I love trying lip balms, whether they're affordable finds or a little luxury treat. Sometimes a budget option surprises me, while other times I understand why a high-end product gets so much hype.
Recently, I've been switching between these two, and here's how they compare based on my experience.

1. Red-A Lip Glo Color Balm (Shade 503)

Price: Around $2–3
This has become one of my favorite affordable lip balms. When I first apply it, the color looks quite soft and sheer, giving my lips a subtle wash of color. If I want a bolder look, I simply add another layer, and it builds up nicely without feeling heavy. The glossy finish makes my lips look fresh and hydrated, which is perfect for everyday wear. Considering the price, I think it delivers great value.

2. Benefit California Kissin' Color Balm (Shade 55)

Price: Around $13–19
The first thing I noticed about this balm was how rich the color payoff is. One swipe gives my lips an even, vibrant tint, so I rarely need to apply more. It also feels incredibly smooth and comfortable throughout the day. Instead of a super glossy look, it leaves a soft natural shine that makes my lips look healthy and polished.
If I just want an easy everyday lip balm that adds a hint of color, I usually grab the Red-A Lip Glo Color Balm. It's affordable, comfortable, and easy to throw into my bag. But when I want richer color with almost no effort, Benefit California Kissin' Color Balm is hard to beat. The pigmentation is beautiful, and it gives my lips a more polished finish with just one swipe.
If you asked me which one offers the better value, I'd say Red-A. If you're after the more luxurious experience, Benefit definitely lives up to the hype.
