Great Day, Lykkers! My skin has days when it looks perfectly fine but feels thirsty the second I start applying skincare. That slightly tight feeling around my cheeks is usually my sign to stop piling on random products and bring a hydrating serum into the routine. I like serums because they’re easy to layer under moisturizer without making my skin feel buried under too many steps.
Two options I’ve been interested in lately are CeraVe Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum and Ursa Major Forest Water Hyaluronic Serum. Both center around hydration, but they give me a different feeling when I’m planning my routine.
1. CeraVe Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum
CeraVe Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum is the kind of product I’d keep close for those ordinary days when my skin needs more moisture but I don’t want anything complicated. Hyaluronic acid is the main reason it catches my attention. I usually associate it with that comfortable, cushioned feeling I want after cleansing, especially when my skin feels tight around the cheeks. CeraVe also includes ceramides in its skincare range, so I like the idea of following a hydrating serum with a moisturizer to keep my routine simple and practical.
2. Ursa Major Forest Water Hyaluronic Serum
Ursa Major Forest Water Hyaluronic Serum feels like a different kind of pick for me. The “Forest Water” name immediately gives it a fresher, more outdoorsy personality, so I’d be tempted to use it on mornings when I want skincare to feel refreshing rather than heavy. The hyaluronic acid focus makes sense for days when my skin feels dehydrated, particularly after cleansing or spending too much time in dry indoor air. I like serums that can slip into my routine without turning it into a ten-step project, and a lightweight hydration step works nicely before moisturizer.
For me, choosing a hydrating serum isn’t really about having the most complicated formula. I want something I’ll actually remember to use when my skin starts feeling uncomfortable. Sometimes skincare doesn’t need to be dramatic. When my skin feels dry and tight, a simple hydrating serum followed by moisturizer can be exactly the little reset I was looking for.
