Welcome, Lykkers! Long hair is beautiful until the tangles, dryness, and frizz decide to show up all at once. My hair is naturally wavy and quite long, so keeping it smooth can feel like a full-time job.
Once the ends start getting tangled, my hair quickly loses that soft, healthy-looking finish and starts feeling dull. That’s why hair serum has become one of those steps I rarely skip. I’ve tried quite a few, but two have earned a permanent spot in my routine.
1. Cake Beauty The Glow Drop Serum
I LOVEEE this serum. It has become one of my favorite little tricks whenever my hair needs some extra shine and softness. The biggest thing I notice is how smooth my hair feels once I work a small amount through the lengths and ends. My hair looks glossier without feeling like I’ve coated it in a heavy product. The shine is especially pretty on wavy hair because it helps the waves look more polished instead of dry and fluffy.
2. Color Wow Pop & Lock High Gloss Finish
This one caught my attention partly because the packaging is so pretty, but the actual product is what convinced me to keep using it. Pop & Lock gives my hair a glossy finish while helping smooth down frizz. I particularly like applying it to the ends when they start looking rough or unruly. It gives them a more polished appearance and helps my hair look much more put together. The subtle shimmer is also such a fun detail.
Honestly, pairing these two has been one of my favorite discoveries for my hair. Cake Beauty gives me the softness and shine I’m looking for, while Color Wow adds that sleek, glossy finishing touch. I don’t need a huge amount of either serum. A small amount through the mid-lengths and ends is usually enough for my very long hair. For anyone dealing with wavy, dry, tangled, or frizz-prone hair, a good serum can make such a noticeable difference in the final look.
