Hello Lykkers! Retinol is one skincare ingredient I’m always curious about, but I don’t like making my nighttime routine overly complicated.
A good retinol cream feels much easier for me to use when it also leaves my skin feeling comfortable and moisturized. I’ve been looking at two creams lately, and both bring something a little different to the routine.
1. Institut Esthederm Intensive Retinol Cream
First impression: this feels like a cream I’d save for a slower, more intentional skincare night. The richer texture makes the application feel comforting, especially when my skin is craving a little extra moisture. I like smoothing a small amount over my skin as one of the final steps instead of layering several products afterward. It gives my routine a more luxurious feeling without making it unnecessarily complicated.
2. Consult Beaute Regenerol™ Retinol Cream
This one gives me a completely different feeling from a typical retinol serum. The cream format makes it easy to slot into my evening routine, especially on nights when I want fewer products. I enjoy the moisturized finish because my skin doesn’t feel like it’s missing something once I’ve finished applying my skincare. It’s also nice having a retinol option that feels more like a traditional night cream.
My choice really comes down to the kind of night I’m having. Institut Esthederm feels like my more indulgent pick, while Consult Beaute Regenerol™ fits better when I want a straightforward cream-based step. Neither needs to turn skincare into a complicated project. For me, retinol is all about patience. I’m much happier building a routine I can comfortably stick with than trying to speed everything up and regretting it later.
