Hey Lykkers! Lip tints are probably one of the easiest ways to make a makeup look feel finished without actually doing much. I tend to reach for them on days when lipstick feels a little too much, but bare lips look unfinished.
Two shades that have been getting the most attention in my makeup bag are rom&nd Juicy Lasting Tint in 17 Plum Coke and Hard Candy Pop Tint Lip Stain in Berry Drops. They give completely different moods, which makes choosing between them surprisingly fun.
rom&nd Juicy Lasting Tint — 17 Plum Coke
Plum Coke is the kind of shade that instantly makes a simple makeup look feel a little more polished. It has that deep plum-brown character that looks especially pretty when applied lightly, then becomes richer with another layer. I like tapping a small amount onto the center of my lips and blending it outward rather than applying a full coat. The finish is glossy at first, giving the lips a juicy look without feeling overly dramatic. Once the shine settles, the color still leaves a nice stain behind.
Hard Candy Pop Tint Lip Stain — Berry Drops
Berry Drops has a more playful personality. The berry tone gives my lips a fresh pop of color, and it feels less serious than Plum Coke. I especially like this one when the rest of my makeup is simple—soft brows, a little blush, and Berry Drops on the lips can be enough. The color can also be built up, so it doesn't have to look intense right away. One layer gives a softer berry effect, while a few extra taps make the shade much more noticeable. That flexibility is what keeps me reaching for it.
Honestly, it depends on the mood. Plum Coke wins when I want deeper, slightly sultry color, while Berry Drops is my choice for something brighter and more cheerful. Having both feels unnecessary in theory, but the shades are different enough that I rarely regret keeping both around.
