Hi Lykkers! Some makeup days call for full glam. Others just need a cushion, a little concealer, and five minutes of patience. I’m definitely in the second group more often than not.
A good cushion has to make the complexion look smoother and fresher without turning into a noticeable layer of makeup. Two that caught my eye recently are the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Prima Glow Cushion and HERA Reflection Skin Glow Cushion Foundation, and they each bring something different to the table.
1. Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Prima Glow Cushion
Giorgio Armani really knows how to make complexion makeup feel luxurious. The Luminous Silk Prima Glow Cushion gives me that soft, elegant finish I associate with the Luminous Silk range, but in a much more convenient cushion format. What I like most is the glow. It doesn’t scream “highlighter” or leave the skin looking wet. Instead, there’s a refined sheen that makes the complexion seem naturally healthier. I’d use a light tapping motion for everyday makeup, then add another thin layer around areas that need a little more coverage.
2. HERA Reflection Skin Glow Cushion Foundation
HERA takes the glow in a slightly fresher direction. This is the cushion I’d pick when I want my complexion to have that bright, bouncy-looking finish without looking overly perfected. I’m drawn to how easy it is to play with the coverage. A thin layer keeps things light, while extra tapping gives certain areas more polish. I don’t feel the need to make the entire complexion equally covered, which is something I appreciate a lot.
Cushion foundations can completely change the mood of a makeup routine. Armani feels like the elegant option I’d save for a more polished look, while HERA has that easygoing glow I could happily wear on an ordinary day. And honestly, that’s why having both makes sense to me. Sometimes the makeup needs a little luxury; sometimes it just needs to look really good in natural light.
