Welcome, Lykkers! Lipstick is probably one of the easiest ways to change the mood of my makeup without starting the whole routine over.
A warm peach can make everything feel softer and brighter, while a simple everyday shade can pull together a look when I don’t want to think too much about it. Two lipsticks that give me those different moods are the Anastasia Beverly Hills Peach Amber and Maybelline in Crop Top.
1. Anastasia Beverly Hills Full-Pigment Matte & Satin Velvet Lipstick — Peach Amber
Peach Amber has that warm, peachy character I love when I want my lips to bring some color to my face. It feels feminine without being overly sweet, and the shade works nicely with warm blushes, bronzy eyeshadow, or even a very simple makeup look. The full-pigment formula is especially nice when I want the lipstick to make more of an impact. One swipe can give the lips a defined look, while a lighter application creates something softer and more casual.
2. Maybelline Lipstick — Crop Top
Maybelline Crop Top has a much more effortless place in my collection. It’s the kind of lipstick I can imagine keeping close by for everyday makeup, especially when I want some color without making my lips the main focus. There’s something convenient about having an easy lipstick that doesn’t require me to rethink the rest of my makeup. I can pair it with neutral eyeshadow, soft blush, or even just mascara and still have a cohesive look.
Peach Amber brings warmth and a little more drama, while Maybelline Crop Top has a relaxed, everyday quality that makes it easy to wear. I like having both because my lipstick choice really depends on what I’m wearing and how much effort I feel like putting into my makeup. Some mornings call for a noticeable peach lip; other days, a quick swipe of something easy is all I need. That’s what makes building a lipstick collection so much fun—there doesn’t have to be one perfect shade for every occasion.
