Welcome, Lykkers! Berry lips are having a moment in my makeup routine, especially when the rest of the look is kept soft and simple. I like a tint that gives enough color to make the lips look finished without feeling like a full lipstick moment.
Two berry shades that caught my attention are the rom&nd Dewyful Water Tint in 08 Berry Divine and the Karuna Tinted Lip Oil in Grow - Rich Berry Lip Tint. They have a similar color mood, but the finish and overall feel are quite different.

1. rom&nd Dewyful Water Tint 08 Berry Divine

Berry Divine has that pretty, juicy look that works so well with everyday makeup. The color leans into a rich berry tone without looking overly heavy, so it can be worn lightly for a soft stain or built up when more color is wanted. What I especially like about this type of tint is how easy it is to blend. A little in the center of the lips gives a casual, just-bitten effect, while a fuller layer makes the berry shade much more noticeable. The watery finish also adds a fresh touch rather than making the lips look flat.

2. Karuna Tinted Lip Oil in Grow - Rich Berry Lip Tint

Karuna takes the berry idea in a softer, more nourishing direction. The tinted lip oil gives the lips a glossy appearance while adding that deep berry hint of color. It feels more like a lip-care-and-color combination, which makes it nice for days when a dry lipstick just isn't appealing. The shade has enough richness to stand out, but the glossy finish keeps it looking relaxed. I’d reach for this when the makeup is minimal and the lips need a little something extra without going all-out.
Berry shades don't have to mean a dramatic lip. A sheer layer can look effortless, while adding another swipe brings more depth when the mood calls for it. Between the two, the choice really comes down to finish: fresh and watery with rom&nd, or glossy and cushioned with Karuna.
