Hello Lykkers! I’ve been really into blue nails lately, especially the soft pearly kind that catches the light without looking too loud. Pearl blue feels a little dreamy, a little clean, and somehow works with almost everything I wear.
I tried two shades recently, and both gave me that pretty glazed effect I keep coming back to.
1. Beetles Pearl Blue Nail Polish — Lakeside Ripple
The Lakeside Ripple shade from Beetles immediately caught my attention because it has that watery blue look. It’s soft, shimmery, and has a pearl finish that changes a little depending on the light. I especially like it near a window because the shimmer becomes much more noticeable. It gives my nails a polished look without feeling too dressed up. On days when I’m wearing white, denim, or simple neutral clothes, this shade adds just enough color.
2. MIZHSE Pearlescent Blue Nail Polish — Pearl Blue
MIZHSE’s Pearl Blue shade has a slightly different mood. The pearly finish is the main attraction here, giving the nails a smooth, almost reflective appearance. I like how it can look delicate from a distance, then suddenly show more blue when the light hits it. It feels like the kind of manicure that makes me keep looking at my hands throughout the day. For me, this one would be perfect for a simple weekend manicure. I could wear it alone or add tiny white details if I wanted something more playful.
Between the two, Beetles Lakeside Ripple feels softer and more watery, while MIZHSE Pearl Blue gives me more of that shiny pearl effect. Honestly, both are pretty hard to resist. If I wanted an everyday blue, I’d lean toward Beetles. For a more noticeable pearly manicure, MIZHSE would be my pick. Pearl blue nails really do make a simple manicure feel a little more special.
