Greetings, Lykkers! I have a soft spot for eyeshadow palettes that make getting ready feel easy. I do not always want a complicated eye look with five different brushes and a dozen shades.
Most days, I just want colors that look pretty, blend easily, and work with the makeup I already have on. Two palettes I have been enjoying are COVERGIRL Eye Enhancers 235 Pure Romance and ColourPop Going Coconuts. They give me two slightly different moods, depending on what kind of makeup I feel like wearing.

1. COVERGIRL Eye Enhancers 235 Pure Romance

Pure Romance is the palette I would pick when I want my makeup to have a softer, prettier feel. The shades are easy to wear, and I like that I can keep the look simple instead of making it too dramatic. My usual approach is pretty basic. I start with a lighter shade on the lid, add a medium shade around the crease, then use a darker color near the outer corner. A little mascara on top and I am done. What I like about this palette is that it does not make me think too hard.

2. ColourPop Going Coconuts

Going Coconuts is much closer to my everyday comfort zone. I love neutral brown shades because I can wear them with almost anything, and I never get tired of having a good selection of them. On lazy makeup days, I usually pick one lighter shade and one brown, blend them together, and stop there. When I have more time, I will layer a few shades to make the eyes look more defined. The best part for me is how versatile it feels. I can make the colors look soft and barely-there or build them up for a deeper evening look.
For a softer, romantic makeup day, I would go with Pure Romance. For everyday neutral looks, Going Coconuts is the one I would probably reach for more often. I think the best palettes are not always the biggest ones. Sometimes a handful of shades that actually fit my style gets much more use than a huge palette sitting untouched in the drawer.
