Primers I Keep Reaching For

Hello Lykkers! Primer is one of those makeup steps I appreciate most when I know I'll be wearing my makeup for hours. With oily skin, the right primer can make application smoother and help my base stick around longer without feeling overly heavy.
I also love that primers have become more interesting lately, with formulas that do more than just prep the skin.

PEACE OUT INSTANT PORE PERFECTOR

This is one of the newer additions to my collection, and I like that it isn't limited to makeup days. It helps with the appearance of redness, so I've also been reaching for it when I don't feel like wearing a full face. The formula includes ingredients like hyaluronic acid and niacinamide, which gives it more of a skincare-meets-makeup feel. I like having something like this around because it feels useful even when foundation isn't part of the plan.

HOURGLASS VANISH PRIMER

This is currently my favorite primer, although the price definitely makes me pause a little. What I like most is how easily it works with different foundations. I don't feel like I have to pair it with one specific base to get a good result. It also makes a noticeable difference in how long my makeup lasts, especially when I use a finishing powder on top. For longer makeup days, this is the one I trust the most from my collection.

ARMANI LUMINOUS SILK PRIMER

I really like how lightweight this one feels. I was actually surprised to find out that it's less expensive than the Hourglass primer because I expected the prices to be closer. The texture is probably my favorite part. It reminds me a lot of Clinique Moisture Surge, with that smooth, lightweight feel that sits comfortably on the skin. It's an easy one to reach for when I want my makeup to feel less heavy.
Right now, Hourglass Vanish is still my favorite for long-wearing makeup, especially when paired with powder. Peace Out is the most versatile since I can use it even without makeup, while Armani is the lightweight option I reach for when I want something comfortable and smooth underneath my base.
