Welcome, Lykkers! Skin tints are my go-to for those no-makeup makeup days when I want my skin to look a little more even without feeling like I'm wearing a full face of foundation.

They're especially nice on hot days when a heavier base can start feeling cakey or uncomfortable. I still haven't found the perfect skin tint for me, but a few have definitely stood out more than others.

SUMMER FRIDAYS SKIN SHEER TINT — $42

This is the one I've been enjoying the most so far. It has hyaluronic acid and squalene, which I really like seeing in a complexion product because it gives the formula more of a skincare-focused feel. As the name suggests, the coverage is very sheer. When my redness is acting up, I can still see it peeking through, so I wouldn't reach for this when I want to completely cover imperfections. For everyday makeup, though, I actually like that lighter coverage. It feels comfortable on my skin and gives me just enough of a polished look without looking like foundation.

BEAUTYBLENDER BOUNCE SKIN TINT — $29

I used to wear this one quite a lot, and I think it deserves more attention. Compared with the Summer Fridays tint, this gives noticeably more coverage while still keeping that lightweight skin-tint feel. For anyone who likes the idea of a skin tint but doesn't want something too sheer, this would probably be the one I'd recommend trying first.

CHANEL LES BEIGES SKIN TINT — $70

Seventy dollars. Yes, really. I originally wanted to try this because I kept seeing reviews of it on social media. I'd also tried the Rose Inc. product with a similar texture, but that one didn't really work for me, so I was curious whether Chanel's version would be different. When I first started using it, I actually loved it. Over time, though, I noticed that the tint started breaking up on my skin, which made me question how much I really enjoyed it.

For my money, Summer Fridays and Beautyblender would be the two I'd try first. Summer Fridays is great for a sheer, comfortable everyday base, while Beautyblender makes more sense when I want a little extra coverage. Chanel is fun to try, but at $70, I'd want to be completely sure the formula works for my skin before spending that much.
