Hello Readers! I’ve been comparing two K-beauty cushion foundations that I genuinely love. They give completely different finishes, so the better pick really depends on the day and how I want my makeup to look.
One leans soft and polished, while the other gives that fresh, glowing skin effect. Here’s how I see the difference between them.

1. Espoir Be Velvet Cover Cushion

This cushion gives fuller coverage with a soft semi-matte finish, but it doesn’t feel thick or heavy. I like how well it covers redness and uneven tone while keeping the skin looking smooth rather than overly made up. For me, this is the one I reach for during hot and humid weather. It holds up nicely and does a better job of keeping excess shine under control, especially on combination or oily skin.

2. Jung Saem Mool Essential Skin Nuder Cushion

This one goes in the opposite direction with a beautiful glowy, glass-skin finish. The texture feels lightweight and hydrating, while the coverage is enough to even out the complexion without hiding the natural look of the skin. I prefer it for everyday makeup when my skin is already behaving. It works especially nicely on dry or combination skin, or during drier weather when a fresh, healthy-looking glow is the goal.
For semi-matte coverage and better shine control, I’d pick Espoir. For hydration and a glowing everyday finish, Jung Saem Mool gets my vote. Both are lovely, but they suit very different makeup moods.
