Hi Friends! Some lipstick shades are easy to forget, but a good orange can completely change the mood of a makeup look. I’ve been especially drawn to bright orange lately because it feels playful, fresh, and surprisingly easy to style.
Two shades that caught my attention are both bold, but they give very different finishes.

1. COVERGIRL Exhibitionist Cream Lipstick, Orange AF — about $8

Orange AF is exactly the kind of shade I reach for when a simple makeup day needs a little more personality. The color is bright and unapologetic, while the creamy formula gives the lips a softer finish instead of making the look feel too intense. I like pairing it with simple eye makeup, brushed-up brows, and a little blush. The lipstick gets to be the main character without making the whole routine complicated. For anyone who enjoys playful colors but still wants something comfortable-looking, this one has a fun balance.

2. M.A.C Cosmetics Ximal Sleek Satin Lipstick – 828 Morange — about $25

Morange has a completely different energy. It’s a vivid orange with that classic M.A.C statement-shade feeling, so I’d pick it when I want the lipstick to stand out immediately. The satin finish is also part of the appeal for me. It gives the color a smooth, polished appearance without looking completely flat. I’d wear Morange with a clean base, subtle blush, and minimal eye makeup because the shade already brings plenty of drama.
I love makeup that can change the mood without requiring ten extra steps, and bright lipstick does exactly that. Orange AF brings a fun everyday attitude, while Morange turns up the volume with a more polished statement. Sometimes the easiest way to make a familiar makeup routine feel exciting again is simply to swap the usual for a bold orange.
