Greetings, Readers! Matcha body scrubs have such a fun place in a shower routine. I’m always more tempted to exfoliate when the product smells good and feels enjoyable to use.
I tested these two based on texture, scent, exfoliation, and overall experience, and they definitely have different personalities.
1. My Beauty Spot Matcha Scented Body Scrub — 8.5/10
The matcha scent is the reason I’d keep coming back to this one. It gives the shower a fresh, slightly sweet character without feeling too plain. I like working a small amount over my arms and legs, especially when my skin feels a little rough. The exfoliating feel is noticeable, but I prefer using a light hand rather than going aggressively at dry patches. What really sells it for me is the overall experience. It feels like a fun body-care product rather than something sitting in the shower purely because it “needs” to be there.
2. Organic Shop Matcha & Lime Refreshing & Exfoliating Body Scrub — 9/10
This one wins me over with the matcha + lime combination. The lime gives the matcha a bright, crisp twist that feels especially good during a morning shower. The texture gives rough areas a proper exfoliating session without making me feel like I need to scrub my skin endlessly. I’d use it on elbows, knees, legs, and other areas that need a little extra smoothing. There’s also something about the scent that makes this feel more refreshing than cozy. It wakes up the routine a bit, which is exactly what I want from a morning scrub.
For a brighter, more refreshing experience, Organic Shop gets my vote. My Beauty Spot is still a lovely option when the matcha scent is the main attraction. Personally, I’d reach for Organic Shop in the morning and My Beauty Spot when I want a more relaxed shower routine. Matcha body care definitely deserves more space on the bathroom shelf.
