This is the warmest combination of the four and probably the one I would wear most often. A deep brown outline gives the lips definition, while Spiced Caramel adds that toasted reddish-caramel colour that feels richer than a traditional nudе.

The trick is not to blend the liner away completely. Leave a little depth around the edges and pull it slightly inward before adding the gloss. The contrast makes the lips look fuller without creating an obvious dark border. Spiced Caramel is also one of the shades currently listed in the Gloss Up! range.

Chocolate Nudе

Chocolate Brown Lip Liner + Barely There Gloss

This is the quietest combination, but that is exactly why it works. The chocolate liner gives a neutral brown contour, while Barely There softens everything with a muted rosy-nudе finish.

I like this type of pairing for minimal makeup because the liner keeps the lips from disappearing while the gloss prevents the brown from becoming too heavy. It is polished, wearable and easy to combine with almost any eye makeup. Barely There is part of the current Gloss Up! shade selection

Cherry Chocolate

Chocolate Brown Lip Liner + Crimson Red Gloss

Brown and red together create one of the most interesting looks here. Instead of a classic bright red lip, the darker perimeter gives the colour a deeper cherry-chocolate effect.

The glossy centre keeps it playful rather than dramatic, while the brown liner makes the red look richer and slightly more sophisticated. I would use less liner on the upper lip and concentrate it around the outer corners for a softer gradient.

Red Blush

Deep Red Lip Liner + Peach Perfection Gloss

This one surprised me most. Red and peach sound as though they should compete, but together they create a lovely berry-rose effect.

The red liner adds depth and definition, while Peach Perfection brightens the centre so the result never feels too dark. It is especially pretty when the liner is softly blurred inward rather than left perfectly sharp. Peach Perfection is also included in the current Gloss Up! shade range.

The Combo I’d Repeat

If I had to choose only one, Caramel Drip would win for everyday wear. Chocolate Nudе is softer and easier, Cherry Chocolate brings more drama, and Red Blush has the prettiest contrast.
