Hair oils can feel intimidating, especially when your hair is thin and gets oily fast.
I used to avoid them completely, thinking they would weigh my hair down. Over time, I learned that the right oils—used the right way—can make a huge difference. My rule is simple: less is more, and oils stay on the ends only, never the scalp. These are the ones I consistently reach for and how I use them in my routine!

1. Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil

This oil is my go-to for shine and scent. I use the tiniest drop after blow-drying to give my hair a polished finish. It makes my ends look smooth and healthy without feeling heavy. The fragrance is a bonus—it leaves my hair smelling incredible all day.

2. Moroccanoil Treatment

This one is part of my daily routine. I apply a small amount to damp hair after showering, then brush it through before styling. It helps keep my ends soft and manageable while reducing dryness over time. The texture works well for fine hair as long as you’re light-handed.

3. Moroccanoil Blow-Dry Serum

On days when frizz is more likely—especially in humid weather—I swap my usual oil for this serum. I apply it only after heat styling, never before. It helps smooth the hair and control flyaways without making it feel weighed down.

4. Davines OI Oil

This is my occasional alternative when I want to switch things up. It’s very nourishing and works well on damaged hair, yet it still suits different hair types. I use it sparingly on my ends when they need extra care and softness.
Hair oils don’t have to be overwhelming or heavy, even for fine hair. The key is choosing the right products and using a minimal amount in the right areas. These oils have helped improve the look and feel of my damaged ends while keeping my hair light, shiny, and manageable.
