I didn’t always think lip scrubs were necessary, but once I started using them, it was hard to go back.
There’s something satisfying about that extra step—like prepping a blank canvas before putting on lipstick or gloss. It doesn’t take long, but it makes everything feel smoother and just a bit more intentional.

1. Liplapin – Bubble Gum 3/5

This one feels fun right from the start. The bubble gum scent gives it a playful vibe, and it almost makes the routine feel less like “skincare” and more like a small treat. The texture is gentle but still does its job, helping to smooth out any dryness without feeling too harsh. I usually use this when I want something light and easy, especially before applying matte lipstick so it goes on more evenly.

2. Emina – Sugar Rush 4/5

Sugar Rush has a slightly more classic feel to it. It’s simple, straightforward, and does exactly what I expect from a lip scrub. The exfoliation feels a bit more noticeable compared to the first one, which I actually like when my lips need a little extra attention. I tend to reach for this when my lips feel a bit rough and I want a cleaner, smoother base before anything else.
Lip scrubs are one of those small steps that make a quiet difference. Some days I go for something fun and light, other days something a bit more thorough. Either way, it’s a simple habit that makes everything that comes after—lipstick, gloss, even just bare lips—feel a lot better.
