My Go-To Products

Finding a good cleanser sounds simple, but it can completely change how my skin feels at the end of the day. I used to think that cleansing was just the first step before skincare, but after trying different formulas, I realised that the texture and finish matter much more than I expected.
Recently, I tested three cleansers that all have a slightly different approach: a classic foam cleanser, a richer cream cleanser, and a pore-focused formula. They each create a different experience, depending on what my skin needs.
1. Senka Perfect Whip Beauty Foam
The Senka Perfect Whip Beauty Foam is probably one of the most recognisable Japanese cleansers, and I understand why it has so many fans. The texture transforms into a rich, soft foam that feels very satisfying to use.
What I liked most was the feeling of freshness after washing my face. It creates that clean sensation without needing a large amount of product. For me, this works best on days when I want a simple and refreshing cleansing step.
However, if your skin prefers a very gentle, moisturising finish, this type of foam texture might feel a little too “clean” after rinsing. I personally enjoy it more as an evening cleanser when I want to remove the feeling of a long day.
2. Arencia Fresh Green Rice Mochi Cleanser
The Arencia Fresh Green Rice Mochi Cleanser immediately stood out because of its unusual texture and packaging. Unlike traditional foam cleansers, it feels more like a soft, creamy balm that turns into a smooth cleanser when mixed with water.
I really liked the sensory experience of using this product. The texture feels different from anything I usually reach for, making my skincare routine feel a little more special.
It is a good option for moments when I want something gentle and comforting rather than a strong cleansing feeling. I especially enjoy products that make everyday routines feel less repetitive, and this one definitely has that quality.
3. Anua Heartleaf + BHA Pore Deep Cleansing Foam
The Anua Heartleaf + BHA Pore Deep Cleansing Foam feels like the most targeted option of the three. The formula is designed for those days when my skin feels less balanced and needs a deeper cleanse.
I like using this type of cleanser when I notice my skin feeling heavier or when I have been wearing more makeup. The foam texture helps create a fresh feeling, while the formula feels more focused on removing excess oil and impurities.
For everyday use, I would choose based on how my skin feels rather than using the same cleanser every day. Some mornings need something light and comfortable, while evenings after a busy day call for a deeper cleanse.
After testing these three products, I realised that a cleanser does not have to be the most exciting step in a routine to make a difference. The best one is simply the formula that matches your skin’s mood — whether you want a fresh foam, a comforting texture, or a deeper clean.
