Lately, I’ve been paying more attention to skincare that supports a smoother, more hydrated-looking complexion. I’m not expecting one serum to magically change my skin, so I prefer formulas that are easy to work into my routine and feel good enough to use consistently.
Two products I’ve been enjoying for that kind of routine are Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair and Caudalie Resveratrol-Lift.

1. Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Multi-Recovery Complex Serum

Advanced Night Repair is one of those serums that feels easy to make part of a regular routine. The formula includes hyaluronic acid and peptides, which makes it appealing when hydration and a smoother-looking complexion are both on my mind. I usually like applying it after cleansing and toning, followed by moisturizer. The texture layers comfortably with the rest of my skincare, so I don’t feel like I have to completely rearrange my routine around it.

2. Caudalie Resveratrol-Lift Instant Firming Retinol Alternative Serum

Caudalie Resveratrol-Lift takes a slightly different approach with its retinol-alternative formula and pro-collagen peptides. I like reaching for it when I want my routine to have more of a firming-focused feel without using a traditional retinol serum. The lightweight texture makes it easy to layer underneath moisturizer. I tend to keep the rest of my routine fairly simple when using a more targeted serum because I’d rather give my skin a consistent routine than pile on too many active products.
My approach to anti-aging skincare is pretty simple: hydration, consistency, and daily sun protection matter just as much as the serum sitting on my shelf. I like having targeted products available, but I don’t want my routine to become overwhelming. A couple of well-chosen serums can be more enjoyable to use than a bathroom cabinet full of products.
