A good setting spray can completely change how my finished makeup feels.

I like having different options depending on the look I’m wearing, whether I want a little hydration, a dewy finish, or something that helps everything feel more settled.

My makeup bag currently has four sprays that I keep reaching for.

When I want my makeup to have a softer, dewier finish, Anastasia Beverly Hills Dewy Set is the one I reach for. I usually spray it from a little distance and let the mist fall over my makeup rather than soaking one particular area. The result fits perfectly with makeup looks where I want my skin to appear fresh instead of completely matte. It’s especially pretty with blush and highlighter when I want everything to blend visually into one finish.

4. M·A·C Prep + Prime Fix+ Primer and Setting Spray

MAC Fix+ has earned its place in my makeup bag because I can use it at different points in my routine. I like misting it over makeup when I want the layers to look less powdery and more blended. It’s also useful before makeup as a prep step, depending on how I’m building my look. That flexibility makes it one of the easiest sprays for me to reach for without thinking too much.

SAAT INSIGHT is my dedicated setting choice, fresh is great for a refreshing mist, ABH gives me the dewy finish I love, and MAC Fix+ is the versatile one that works at several stages. I don’t think every makeup day needs the same spray. Sometimes I want longevity, sometimes I want glow, and sometimes I just want my makeup to look a little more natural.
