My Soft Glam Picks

I love makeup that still lets the skin look like skin. On most days, I’d rather build light layers than cover everything at once, and I usually choose products depending on whether I want more coverage, extra glow or a softer matte finish.
These three combinations give me plenty of options without making the routine feel complicated.
For A Fresh, Even Base
Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless is the one I’d choose when I want a more classic matte base. I like this type of foundation for days when my T-zone gets shiny and I want the complexion to stay a little more controlled. I’d apply a thin layer first and add extra product only where I need more coverage.
MARS Skin Fit Skin Tint SPF 30 feels much lighter and more casual. I’d reach for it when I want my skin tone to look more even without creating a full foundation effect. This is definitely the kind of base I’d wear for quick daytime makeup.
Dot & Key Strawberry Dew Tinted Sunscreen SPF 50+ PA++++ is the most effortless option of the three. I like the idea of a tinted SPF when I want very light coverage and sun protection in one step, although I’d still make sure to apply enough product to get the labelled protection.
For That Healthy Flush
Swiss Beauty Cream It Up Blush is exactly the kind of blush I enjoy for fresh makeup. Cream formulas are easy to tap into the cheeks with fingers, and I like building them slowly until the colour looks naturally flushed rather than overly intense.
Insight Baked Blush gives me a more traditional powder option. I’d use this when I want slightly more definition or when I need my blush to sit well over a set base.
Etude Water Tint is the most playful choice here. I’d use a tiny amount on the cheeks and blend it immediately because watery tints tend to set quickly. I also like this type of product on the lips when I want the whole look to feel coordinated.
When I Want Less Shine
Faces Canada Weightless Stay Matte Compact would be my handbag powder. I’d use it mainly for touch-ups around the nose, forehead and chin rather than covering the entire face repeatedly throughout the day.
Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Powder feels like the more familiar everyday choice. I’d use a light layer to set foundation or concealer and keep the rest of the face softer so the makeup doesn’t start looking flat.
What I’d Choose
I’d pick the skin tint for easy everyday makeup, cream blush for a naturally fresh finish and a small amount of powder only where I actually need it. For me, the nicest base makeup always looks a little imperfect, softly blended and still recognisably like real skin.
