Brown-toned lips are one of the makeup trends I keep coming back to because they can look both natural and sophisticated. Lately, I’ve been experimenting with rosy and mauve-brown combinations that define the lips without creating an overly dark outline.
These two combinations have become some of my favourites.
Eva Mosaic 03 + Belor Design 201
The first combination gives me a cooler, slightly deeper brown-rose look. I start with Belor Design lip pencil in shade 201, carefully defining the contour and blending the colour slightly toward the centre of my lips.
Then I apply Eva Mosaic in shade 03. Together, the two products create a muted mauve-brown colour with a noticeable rosy undertone.
I especially like how the deeper pencil adds dimension without making the lip contour look too sharp. The lipstick softens everything and creates a smoother transition between the shades.
This is the combination I choose when I want my lips to become a more noticeable part of the makeup. I think it looks particularly beautiful with neutral eyeshadow, softly defined lashes and a natural glowing base.
Stellary 03 + Eva Raseyan 102
My second combination is softer and warmer. I use Eva Raseyan lip pencil in shade 102 to outline my lips, concentrating a little more colour around the outer corners.
After that, I apply Stellary in shade 03 over the entire lip. The result is a warm pink-brown shade with a subtle rosy tone.
Compared with the first combination, this one feels more natural and effortless. The pencil still creates enough definition to make the lips look fuller, but the contrast is softer.
I especially like this combination for everyday makeup because it works beautifully with warm blush, bronzer and simple eye makeup. It gives me that polished “my lips but better” effect without looking overdone.
Why I Love This Trend
What I like most about the brown-lip trend is how easy it is to customise. A cooler pencil creates a more dramatic mauve effect, while warmer brown tones make the result softer and more natural.
For me, both of these combinations prove that brown lips don’t have to look heavy. With the right balance of brown and rose tones, they can look modern, flattering and incredibly wearable.
